Lay Lake's Striped Bass Are On The Move says Jeremy Veitch

Capt. Jeremy Veitch
October 5, 2016
Lay Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Striper fishing on Lay Lake it about to explode, with the cooler weather finally moving in and the bite slowly picking up. All we need is two weeks of lower 80's and its on. Most fish are around 25 feet deep. With very little topwater action and mostly average fish being caught. As it cools, the topwater bite will be incredible and the bigger fish will start biting better again. Live bait and artificals are the top producer. 1/2 jigging spoons have worked great when you can get on top of them.
