Gulf Coast Fishing Report - Orange Beach

Capt. Don McPherson

Orange Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Red Snapper, Grouper, Wahoo

Fishing out of Orange Beach is getting better. There have been some big snapper caught. A 34lb snapper just took the lead in the Red Snapper World Championship Tournament. We have not placed on the board yet but we still have 7 days to go.

We were happy to have Mike and his group with us again. We traveled a long distance for these fish. We actually fished in my 14 hour waters which gave us a little less fishing time but better quality fish. We caught red snapper weighing up to 19lbs, white snapper weighing over 5lbs each, scamp, grouper with the largest weighing 37lbs and triggerfish. We found some beautiful blue water offshore and caught a nice wahoo on the way home. A great day with a 14 hour catch on a 12 hour trip.
