GULFSTREAM REPORT!!!

Postby captainbutch » Mon May 16, 2005 6:37 pm

5-15-05 Went to the stream today. The weather mans forecast wasn't too promising, but, proved to be slightly off (again) so we ventured on. And a good venture it was. After all the fish we missed and all the fish that got away, we still managed to get 8 mahi-mahi in the boat. Todays fisherman consisted of Cliff Greeno, Clyde Adams, Chick Eanes, and Ricky Billingsley, for a little while they were kept pretty busy. It was overcast the biggest part of the day and that may have been a big factor in the dolphin bite lasting as long as it did, for when the sun broke through, they seemed to let up. We were hoping for some tuna and some wahoo, but it didn't happen. Capt. Squid who was on the SHOWTIME had caught some wahoo so he told me what he had caught them on so we followed suit but it wasn't in the cards for us. Also they caught two yellowfins and we still drew a blank on those. Well mabey next time it will be our turn, GOOD JOB, Capt. Squid. The spanish mackeral are on the beach now!!!! There are also some good ones showing up. My friend Capt. Ron on the boat, "SHE"S SLICK" along with admiral Helen (his wife) caught some good ones this past saturday!!!!! A report of a 30 lb. king was caught off sunset beach. It want or shouldn't be long before the spring run starts, but everything has been late this year, so far!!! The atlantic Bonito seem to be gone. They are catching some blue fish inshore now and are also reporting a few cobia being caught. It is about to blow wide open!!!!!!!!! Come on down and get in on some of the hot fishing that is about to explode!!! Check out the pic's on our site. www.yeahrightcharters.com Till next time. FISH ON!! Capt. Butch and Capt. Chris Foster.
