6-3-05, Left out this morning for a 1/2 day of fishing. We went to the rocks about 10 miles out only to find all the recent rains had shut down the inshore bottom fishing. But to the SE of light house rocks, the bait was schooled up in big balls and some decent sized spanish mackeral were jumping and feeding around that bait. We had several schools of porpoises(bottle nose dolphins) move in and if you stayed in front of them, the spanish hit real good with several times all the rods loaded up at the same time!!! Our crew of Don McClelland and Bob Marriott made short order of getting their limit of spanish mackeral. Well here it was, about 10:00 AM and were limited out, well this was a 5 hour trip and we had 2 more hours of fishing left. We went back to the bottom and stopped on several schools of fish only to find they did not want to bite. We kept moving till we found some sharks that wanted to accomodate by keeping out two anglers busy for the rest of their trip. The seas were laid down real nice with overcast skys to keep out the hot sun, a beautiful morning to fish and great guys to fish with. It was fun, hope to do it again soon. Check out pic's on our site. Till next time, FISH ON!!! Capt. Butch and Capt. Chris Foster. YEAH RIGHT SPORTFISHING CHARTERS, Southport, NC. (910) 845-2004. www.yeahrightcharters.com
