Friday, 6-17-05 Started out today at the Shark Hole and picked up one snake King Mackeral. the bite wasn't showing much sign of improving after a school of large bottle nose dolphin moved in. In fact, the small school of bait fish I was working decided to move on to safer waters. So, we decided to move to 18 mile rock and there we found a decent king bite along with some large Spanish mackeral, a couple of Mahi-Mahi, and even a few sharks. There is no telling how many short strikes, pull-offs,and we even had a line broken twice. Dan Farrell, fron San Francisco, CA. landed the big one today, a 21 lb. King Mackeral. Patrick Farrell, from Buffalo, NY, got the biggest Spanish Mackeral, he weighed in at 5 lbs. Jack farrell and Tom Annen, both from Rochester, NY helped out with the landing of the rest of the catch. A good time was had by all and it looks like mabey the fishing is finally starting to get back to where it is supposed to be at this time of year, or a least closer!!! Keep in touch, will be after Grouper tomorrow!!! Check out pic's on my site. Till next time, FISH ON!!!!! Capt. Butch and Capt. Chris Foster.
