Artificial Reef questions
Posted: Thu Jul 27, 2006 11:07 amHello all, I am new to this forum group. I am an artist working with a watershed protection group in New England, and we are considering artifical reef construction in an urban/suburban river to replace lost snags for fish habitat.
I am starting the process of researching artifical reefs. Can you point me to resources about reef construction, particularly in fresh water rivers, but also in general?
I have specific questions about conrete as a reef making material in fresh water, but i am also interested in anything you al might have to add about artificial reefs either from experience or word on the street.
If you have questions about environmental art, public art, or masonry in general, i´d be happy to answer what i can.
