No fishing: Stretch of California coast closed to fishermen

Excerpt:

A group of environmentalists have persuaded spineless governor Gray Davis and members of the Fish and Game Commission to close some 175 square miles of coastline to all fishing, both recreational and commercial. This translates to about 30 percent of the best fishable waters along the California coast.
