New Airline to Christmas Island

Postby Stan Wright » Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:37 pm

Starting in September 2005, Pacific Air out of Fiji will have regularly scheduled flights to Christmas Island. The weekly flights leave Honolulu on Tuesday and flying time to Christmas is 3 hours........ YES!

By the way, we had a great trip in August and caught lots of fish. The food (lobsters) were great too. <grin>

Aloha,
Stan

At the moment.... the runway at Christmas Island is being re-surfaces...
The larger Air Pacific jets can't land there until the job is finished.
The weekly flights are now on a smaller twin prop plane.

Weight is limited. They weigh everything.... including you and your carry on.

On the positive side.... there are fewer fisherman each week.

Aloha,
Stan
