This past week was almost just like last week, blowing on Monday and Tuesday and beautiful the rest of the week. Winds on Monday were strong out of the N.W at 25 knots and seas were running 4 to 6 feet, by Tuesday winds were slacking off. Wednesday was beautiful winds were 5 to 10 out of the S.E and seas were 2 to 3 with a light chop.

Tuesday aboard the E-Sea Goin we had an 8 hour bottom fishing trip, we went to Tuttle mound (a reef in 90 feet of water) We ended up with 3 nice fat grouper some red snapper a nuse shark, big A.J.;s and triggers and lane snappers. Gotta love it when you get a bottom fishing trip when the trolling fish are biting but everything turned out good. When we got back to the dock we booked a trip for Friday that wanted to go after Dolphin.
Friday we ended up with most of our bites in 160 to 180 feet of water, we had 10 dolphin 15-20 pounds biggest one went 35 pounds, the bigger dolphin should start showing up soon. We also had one Wahoo 20 pounds, and had a sailfish up in the spread but he didn’t want to eat, its frustrating when that happens but that’s fishing.
Dolphin are on rips, weed lines and slicks in between 160 to 200 feet of water. They are eating naked ding rigged Ballyhoos. Wahoo are up to the North in Ponce Inlet (in 230 feet of water) eating Bonita strips with an island lure mostly red and black but blue and white work fine too.
Sailfish will show up when you least expect them to.
