MAYPORT JETTIES

Is there foot access to the jetties at Mayport??? I have fished the jetties at Fort CLinch Park in Fernandina for years and catch flounder and reds, but lately the fishing has been slow due to sand fill in!! I don't have a boat so I'm looking for the same kind of fishing!! Any info would be apprecitated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike

The only real access is thru Mayport Naval station if you can get a pass, to the south jetty or thru Hugonaut Park and then you'll have to "hike it" on out to the limited access of the north jetty.
