These past weeks the sailfish have been moving though in-between the cold fronts along with some big Wahoo. Also the bottom fishing will be getting better with each passing day. As of right now bottom fishing are producing some nice legal red snapper along with some big grouper with a lot of stringer fish (triggers, sea bass, red eyes, etc.) mixed in. the has been some nice cobia being caught too.
Kingfish are from just off the beach to past the reefs, find the bait and your find the kings, a few sailfish have been caught on the reefs but most of the action has been out in 120 to 240 feet of water.

I have been getting a lot of e-mails asking about the best time of year is the best time to fish. My answer to that is anytime is a good time to fish. But here is a run down on what’s biting and when, the time of the year and the fish that are biting.
January and February are some of the best months to do some bottom fishing for grouper and snapper along with some of the smaller but great eating fish. Also the big kings are in shore.

March, apirl and May we start getting our run of dolphin (miahi miahi) along with a few marlin and sailfish, also the bottom fishing will still be great. May, we get the big bull dolphin. Also the kings are here to.

June, July and August some of the dolphin are still around along with some kings, cudas Bonita and a few sailfish. Some marlins are out in the deep then too.

September November and December are also great months to some bottom fishing and some trolling for Wahoo and king mackerels.
