Hi All,

Next week, my family and I are going to take a weeks vacation in the Daytona/Ponce Inlet area of Florida. My in-laws live there and have heard many people shore fish from the Jetty (sp?) area of Ponce Inlet. I would like to take the kids and throw a couple line out but am hoping someone familiar with area could give me some ideas on what lures etc to try. I have a pretty good assortment but have never fished the east coast so looking for any help.

Thanks

Mike

Hey Mike, good to see you on the forum. I do not fish the Ponce Inlet, but I do fish the Sebastian Inlet a lot. I use plugs like Bomber Long As and Wind Cheaters, and also jigs or bottom rigs with live shrimp, mullet, or pin fish. If their are Spanish Mack or blue fish around, throw gold or silver spoons. Hope this helps a little. 8)

Being in Miami, I really can’t offer much assistance for fishing Ponce Inlet… But I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to our Forum. Hope you come back and let us know how you did. 8)
