These past months have been tough on fisherman all over the east coast of Florida, its not the fishing its been absolutely great, from inshore to the deep water wrecks offshore, The fish are chewing. Its has been the weather, you only get about one or two days a week to get offshore and that’s if you are lucky. The seas have running steady at 5 to 7 feet and the days you can get out the seas have been 3 to 4 feet. Even inshore when the wind blows it gets tough if not imposable to sight fish for reds but there are a lot of places to get out of the wind and still find fish, not saying that its makes for a great day on the water, but it sure bets sitting at home doing the honey do list or doing so sort of improvement on the boats.

Inshore in the mosquito lagoon the reds have been tailing all over place when you can see them that is. There have been a lot of over sized reds and some big trout being caught in the lagoon and in the mouths of the creeks.

Offshore fishing is great from bottom fishing to trolling. Bottom fishing has been producing some nice red snapper, grouper, big black sea bass, lane snapper and a lot of cobias. Trolling the big kings (20 to 50 pounds there was one at the fish market that weighed 73 pounds) are on the reef s.
