Specks in St. Johns at Lake Harney

Postby Jolly Gator Fish Camp » Fri Dec 16, 2005 12:45 am

Despite the high water, we are seeing good catches of Specks from the mouth of the Econ north into Lake Harney. The fish have not gone to bed and are in about 4 to 6 feet of water. The fish are showing good size. Vary your depth with multiple lines until you find them. They started this season ignoring minnows and opting for jigs and beetle spins, but are now more interested in the minnows. We are also seeing some nile perch being caught the same way. Anchor and Fish the bottom of the deeper bends in the river with a decent worm ball for catfish.
