North-Central WI Ice Fishing Report

Postby JDeBoer » Thu Dec 27, 2007 2:49 pm

Walleye fishing as of late has been quite good, with quality marble-eyes providing good action all night long! The key of late seems to be staying mobile as the hot bites continue to move from night after night. Last night was no exception as we again scored on a fine catch of 'eyes from the Big Eau Pleine ranging from 15 1/2" on up - the largest being 22", 25", and 26"! Frabill tip-ups rigged with Mustad hooks and golden shiners or sucker minnows have been the ticket once location has been determined. The bite has been quite shallow after dark for the most part with our largest fish last night again coming from only 3' of water.
Tight lines,
