Just when you thought you’d seen it all...

Disney Joins Forces with Pro-fish Activists

Pro-fish activists have won permission from Disney to adapt a film poster for Finding Nemo to help promote vegetarianism to youngsters. Pressure group PETA says it is using the cartoon characters on leaflets, along with a two-meter tall fish, to persuade children not to eat fish.

If you would like to express your displeasure with Disney, see the Online Petition below:

It absolutely amazes me how fridge groups like PETA garner so much mainstream support.

Just in case you've caught PETA's news release that they have teamed with
Disney to develop a Finding Nemo Characters to develope a tape that
highlights the pain that fish receive from angler's fishing and wondered if
this is true. Here is a statement from BASS.

Subject: Disney and PETA

During a teleconference with the Divisional Representatives today, the
question of Disney and PETA was raised - we now have the answer. Please read
the below statement from Disney:

"There is no truth to this story. The Walt Disney Company did not grant
permission to PETA to use the Finding Nemo characters."

I'll let you know if anything else is released.

George,

Thanks very much for that information. That sounds more reasonable… So, the world is NOT going to hell in a politically correct hand basket.
