Three little fish could end up costing four Broward County men big bucks, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Friday. Michael Macneir, Shane Casey, Vincent Bonura III and Scott Leon are facing federal fisheries law violations and could be ordered to pay $10,000 after an FWC officer caught them with undersized swordfish last December, according to agency spokeswoman Gabriella Ferraro. Ferraro said Macneir, 28, of Davie, and Casey, 26, of Fort Lauderdale, were caught with three undersized swordfish, Ferraro said. Permit holder Bonura III, 24, of Fort Lauderdale, and vessel registrant Leon, 38, of Davie, are also facing charges, Ferraro said. The FWC referred the case to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which has issued a notice of violation and assessment to all four men, Ferraro said.
