Hook & Tackle Captains Party Enjoys Success with the 13th Annual Miami Dolphins Foundation Celebrity Fishing Tournament.

June 6, 2009-Miami Beach, FL: The Hook & Tackle Captains party celebrated 13 years in association with the Miami Dolphin Foundation. This year the participants celebrated a full day of golf on the Miami Beach Golf Course followed by a day of fishing at the Miami Beach Marina. Though Golf was cut short due to flood, hail and lightning, the party went on that evening and the rest of the weekend.

The Miami Dolphins organization made this event mandatory that all players attend. Chad Pennington, Ronnie Brown, Justin Smiley, Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, Chad Henne, Rookie Pat White were just a few in attendance. Head Coach Tony Sparano, General Manager Jeff Ireland, President Brian Wiedmeier and the newly appointed CEO Mike Dee enjoyed themselves immensely.

Lots of Dolphin, Kingfish and Tunas were caught. The winners of the event received 4 tickets to the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami.

The Miami Dolphins Foundation, established in 1995, contributes to charities that includes; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, UM Sylvester Cancer Research, Coastal Conservation Association, Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward, United Way and much more.

Stan Rudman, owner of Hook & Tackle and Co-Chairman of the event explains, “I have been associated with this event for over 13 years and we have weathered tropical storms, hurricanes and floods, however, it will not stop us. We are determined to make this Hook & Tackle Captains party the biggest annual social charity event in South Florida. We had over 1000 people in attendance and raised lots of money through our live/silent auctions and all to benefit our youths in the community. I am all about giving back and with my determination, we will all succeed.”
