Conditions Perfect for a Bumper Crop of Mosquitoes

Drought conditions during the past year and heavy rains that left floodwaters covering parts of North Florida this week are the perfect combination to produce a bumper crop of mosquitoes during the next few weeks. "We have everything we need for instant mosquitoes right now," said Jerry Butler, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences professor of medical and veterinary entomology.

Here in Michigan the Dept of Public Health is starting to bring about awareness as well. The posibility of increased West Nile Virus is pretty good.
