Daiwa DF100A Giant

Postby Specter » Wed Jun 07, 2006 3:59 am

Hello all, new to the forum.

I recently found one of my rods lacking a reel of it's own. Well ok, I'm sick of "borrowing" reels from my other poles. I've been looking at the Daiwa DF100A. Has anyone had any experiences with this reel?

I've taken this rod many places over the years and it might need to be retired...someday. I've also been looking at the Penn Mariner Boat Rods. What are your opinions on it?

I do a lot of catfishing. I see a lot of Channel cats and Bullheads. There are also Strippers, Bass and Sturgeon in these waters where I fish. I also take this pole to the beach with me. With 20 or 25 lb. test line will this cover most of that? I don't normally use conventional monofilament lines if that matters.
