Penn Liveliner

Wondering about anyone's experience with the Penn Liveliner.

Do you prefer this one over the Shimano Baitrunner?

Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

penn liveliner

Postby makoman » Fri Jun 27, 2008 7:22 pm

hello. new to cyber angler and i wanna voice my opinion regarding penn liveliner reels. been using a 5600 for 3 years now WITHOUT a problem of any kind (yeah, she's been dunked quite a few times.) smoothest reel i've ever owned & brutally strong. it has to be to horse these big stripers out of the rocks up here off massachusetts coast. buddy of mine uses a baitrunner 6500 and has had his reel flex so bad, he had to cut the line to avoid damage to his precious japanese beauty. doesn't handle braid anywhere as well as my penn. can't wait til my new 760 liveliner gets here! viva la penn!
