can anyone tell me why its recommended to attach a (mono) leader to the power pro line?

I can think of two reasons, (1) The mono leader is less visible than any braided line, and (2) Mono is more abrasion resistant for the business end of the line.

I use Power pro up here for muskies and it has no stretch at all. Some angler like to add a mono leader so that there is a little give and stretch. All depends on the species you are fishing for. It is a great line and lasts a long time
