Go to your local tackle shop and purchase a Top Spots Map for your area. THey have the GPS # for many wrecks reefs and fish havens. Also, on this website you will find a 'reef locator' , Maybe you can find what your looking for there. Do you do fishing on your boat? If so what do you usually do?

I bottom fish all the time off broward

Postby askipper3 » Mon Sep 19, 2005 9:08 pm

Hey, I fish off hillsburo(broward) every weekend. let me tell you that if you are bottom fishing between 30 and and 90 feet are productive for yellowtails and small red grouper, also lane snappers and cero. Any where between 60 and 140 is good for sails and kings- but the biggest kings are actually caught the closest in(beach comers). Use small chunk baits-you MUST chum! With a 2-4 oz. wieght and a 4-6 foot leader( 30-50 pound test-you never know!) Try chunking bait and live pinfish or whatever. Also dropping a live baitfish to the bottom will produce kings, etc. Last but not least- you have to have a fishfinder and you have to find ledges, reefs, wrecks, structure, and schools of baitfish. Hope this helps!

Tight lines,
Capt. Chris Orr

But i still have much to learn, I'll take all the pointers I can get, but belive me, I can teach some of the most avid fisherman, a thing or too. :-) I specialize in grouper, snapper, snook, tarpon, spanish mackerel, kings, etc. Hit me up if u wanna go fishin!
