COSTA RICA FISHING REPORT 1/01/06

January which is typically hot, hot, hot, for fishing in Quepos is living up to the expectations that we have grown to rely on. The first week of January was a little low on numbers, but as we approached the 2nd week the real numbers started to show. David Payne fishing the Reel Deal on both the 8th and 9th Released 8 sails on first day and came back for more on the second day Releasing 9 sails and 2 Mahi. On the 14th we had 9 sails, 5 Tuna and 3 Rainbow runners. January 20th Frederick Bifulco had a day with 8 Releases on Sails and 8 Mahi. Ralph Hornsby followed that trip with 9 sail releases on Saturday. The bite is on!

December The Reel Deal was out of the water for Maintenance, both engines overhauled but she is back in the water and ready for a full season of fishing Action.

November Fishing was just getting into the groove, Sails were a little sparse but numbers improved as we got towards the middle of the month. Fish were more interested in mating then eating. Check out write ups for Quepos Sailfishing Charters in Marlin Magazine, Salt Water Fishing Report, Best Life Magazine!
