Playa de Carmen shore fishing

Anyone tried shore fishing in the Playa del Carmen/Puerto Morelos area? I've scheduled a bottom fishing trip, but that's an expensive half day!
Also, does anyone know of any special restrictions on shore fishing in this area? I know I'll need a license, but beyond that...

Hi gerf and welcome to our Forum.

Since this "International" Forum is so broad in scope, please remember to include the country name in your post.

For those of you who do not know, Playa del Carmen & Puerto Morelos are in Mexico.

Yes, they're both in Mexico. So, anyone been there? done that?
