News from Lake Baccarac

Postby MexicanDan » Tue Oct 26, 2004 10:52 am

A meeting was held between the tourist sector and the Commercial sector of Lake Baccarac last week. The major topic of discussion was the growing popularity of the lake and the number of sport fishing anglers that would be visiting the lake. All agreed that this activity would be good for the area but certain conservation measures must be put in place.

A Consejo de Administration for the lake will be formed with members of three levels of government along with members from both the tourist sector and the commercial sector. Conservation measure will be put in place to protect the lake from destruction and to maintain the lake as the premier fishing location in Mexico.

This lake is on is way to being the greatest lake ever

I will advise you as things progress as to the regulations that will be imposed on visiting anglers.
