Snapper, Nurse-Shark, Snook, Spanish & Sheepshead: Naple

Postby fishbuster » Sat May 31, 2003 12:05 pm

8) I fished Tuesday in 34 feet off Naples with Blaine Breit, son Chris, and daughter Mikayla. We caught two 25 inch Spanish mackerel, keeper triggerfish, and seven keeper mangrove snapper, all on live shrimp. We released small grunts and short red grouper. We also had a fun battle with a big nurse shark that came after one of our catches, until it finally broke our line.

I fished off Naples Thursday with the Peter Haluenen party, getting a late start after the morning rains. We caught five keeper mangrove snapper, two porkfish, and released lots of ladyfish and blue runners.

Jim & Novina Lynch fished Estero Bay with me Friday, around the islands toward Wiggins Pass. We caught and released a small snook, mangrove snapper, ladyfish, and lots of 11 inch to 12 inch sheepshead. Find complete info and fish photo album at www.fishbustercharters.com
