Goliaths at the Reef;Gag Grouper off Sanibel:SWFL Fishbuster

I fished Thursday with Dean & Angela Lomack at the Bonita reefs. We caught and released a goliath grouper estimated at 100-150 pounds, using blue runners and porgies for bait. We used live shrimp to catch keeper mangrove snapper and triggerfish.
Sunday, Ernie Kusterer fished with me on a 270 degree heading out of Big Carlos Pass, putting us about 31 miles off Sanibel. We had 5 foot seas out there, which made it slow-going coming in, but we figured it was worth it, after catching a 23 inch keeper gag grouper (on pinfish) and five nice mangrove snapper (on live shrimp). We released numerous red grouper shorts. Find complete info and fish photo album at www.fishbustercharters.com
