Snook & Reds Bayside, Snapper & Spanish Gulfside: SW

Postby fishbuster » Fri Oct 10, 2003 3:14 pm

I fished Monday in central Estero Bay with Dr. Lee & Elizabeth Tucker, ten year old son Mac, and six year old son, Will. Using shiners and live shrimp, we caught and released about 20 small snook, along with small snapper and redfish.

Chris Kory and friend, Mike, fished with me Tuesday at the Bonita reefs, where we caught keeper mangrove snapper, large grunts and porkfish, and Spanish mackerel to 23 inches. We released lots of blue runners, which are nearly always around when the mackerel are.

The bite was a bit slow, but steady Thursday at the 240 Ledge, where I fished with Joe Soboleski and friend, Jack. We caught keeper mangrove snapper, grunts, triggerfish and porgies, and released red grouper shorts. Find complete info and fish photo album at www.fishbustercharters.com 8)
