I fished Tuesday with Jerome & Joyce Sagez and Lawrence & Maxine Vaughn in 50 feet, 20 miles west of New Pass. Using live shrimp, we caught seventeen mangrove snapper to 16 inches, and released gag grouper to 20 inches, red grouper to 18 inches, sheepshead, and porgies.

Wednesday, I fished with the Dick Leonard party at the 240 ledge, where the bite was a bit slow. But, we managed to catch a dozen mangrove snapper to 14 inches, a 15 inch hogfish, triggerfish and porkfish, using live shrimp. We released lots of gag and red grouper shorts.

Thursday, I braved some rough seas at the artificial reefs off Bonita Beach with Ken Payne and friends, Ron & Jerry. We caught nice sheepshead to six pounds, on live shrimp. We released gag and red grouper shorts, and then headed out of the seas, which were on the increase. With seas predicted between 5 and 8 feet for the weekend, the best place to be was on land. The photo attached is of a 29 inch gag we got 19 miles off Bonita Beach last Friday. Find complete info and fish photo album at www.fishbustercharters.com
