Your best bet to keep kids busy would be to fish just outside of Big Carlos Pass on either the outbound or inbound tide. Moving water is a must. In March you'll find plenty of small sharks, some nice spanish mackerel and a mix of ladyfish, bluefish and a few pompano. Should keep you busy. Also... there's a big grass flat in the mid bay area just west of Week's Fish Camp. Almost always has trout on it in March along with ladyfish. Hope this helps!

Like Capt Rob said, action is the key with kids. The action must be fast and furious or you lose them as fishing partners forever. Another key to fishing kids is to not associate fishing with getting up at 5-6-7AM. Take them out at 11 then 10 on the next trip. Then 9 because "the fish are biting a little earlier." The goal is to make them want to get up at 5-6- or 7AM. Depress all barbs on all hooks when fishing kids and make them wear sunscreen and eye protection. Capt John "GiddyUp" Bunch
