Rick, Been meaning to e-mail you for a while, regarding the furor on FL Sportsman's SW FL Forum. Thanks for always taking the high road with those guys--You have never joined in with the low-base ridicule anfd slander that they engage in...Even though they blew up and posted pictures of your fish to show me permit that were "worthy" ogf an offshore Captain...When I tried to post my 34 inch, 14 pound permit, Collechio simply deleted the post. He also eliminates any posts from Forum members that do not support his cause.

This week, it looks like Byron Stout is their target, and you again took the high road. They are tunnel-visioned, and missed the whole point of Byron's article. Thank you for being a voice of sanity and restraint on the forum. I informed them that you and I do not know each other well, but do have a mutual, professional respect for one another.

I try real hard to have a bit of fun and relax in the evenings on these fourms. I could not let the attack on Byron get personal, no one deserves that. I was not aware of that permit situation or would have spoken up then as well.
