Estero Bay-Reds, Snook, Sheepies & Snapper: SW FL

Postby fishbuster » Sat Oct 09, 2004 2:34 pm

I fished Estero Bay and behind Ft. Myers Beach Monday with Owen Feeney, Dr. Owen Feeney Jr., and his 4 year old son, Justin. We used live shrimp to catch seven redfish, one of which was a keeper at 21 inches. We also caught two keeper sheepshead at 14 inches each, two sand bream, and two keeper mangrove snapper. We released three snook to 18 inches.

I fished the bay again on Saturday with the Doug Eckman party. We had steady bites all day on live shrimp, and released lots of redfish to 17 inches and snook to 22 inches. We also caught keeper mangrove snapper and sheepshead.
