Captains Update 12/19/05 8)

The Viking crew in Tarpon Springs did some fishing on Dec.12 and ended up with an awesome trip! One drop caught their limit of Grouper and Snapper! Groupers up to 25lb. and Snapper up to 11lb.; they were back to the dock in no time, yet another slamming Viking trip.

The crew tried again on Dec. 17th aboard one of the guys private boats. The weatherman had predicted a small window in between cold fronts, so they decided to take a chance. After getting out approx. 20 miles, Capt. Rich turned things around and headed home since the conditions were completely unfishable. The weatherman was WRONG! Strong Viking try though!

The new Viking Superstar hasn't seen many trips yet this December. Between Christmas and cold weather its been a slow time; its a shame because the fishing has been RED HOT!

The reservations are coming in quick for January & February, so we're really looking forward to a great start to 2006.

One trip we are especially excited about is the Exploratory Virgin Wreck on January 10th. Capt. Paul Forsberg and Capt. Rich took the Viking Freedom out an exploratory trip a few weeks back and a brand new virgin wreck was found! Loaded with mangrove snapper and gag grouper the wreck is very, very exciting. The Viking Superstar will make an extra special discovery trip on January 10 - the fare is $340 and the passenger count will be strictly limited to 40 passengers.

Hope to see you soon aboard the Viking Superstar, give us a call at 888-FL TRIPS or 727-938-5300 or check us out at www.vikingfleet.com.
