With cooler weather prevailing, it has been time to start working the Intercoastal Waterways for fish.
Last Saturday, we fished along the Pinellas Bayway, with great results.

Using select shrimp, we free-lined them around the docks that lead to the open Gulf. Redfish after Redfish, most were in the 18-22 inch range. With 3 guys fishing, they must have caught 15 Reds before we decided to move on.

Heading over to the pass that leads to the Skyway, we tried our luck drifting the Flats. We caught numerous Trout, but most were in the 12-14 inch range. We promptly released all fish, as that area needs some rebuilding after last years Red Tide devastation.

The Grouper bite in 40 feet has been hot and cold---the key to finding fish has been to fish the major solunar periods of the day.
