Clearwater Offshore Report 5/19

Postby fisheye22 » Wed May 21, 2008 11:55 am

The Offshore fishing continues to be good from 45-90 feet. Live bait has been key for the bigger grouper, most fish are ranging from 15-20lbs, with some bigger ones mixed in. The Cobia seem to be sticking around, we're getting these over a couple of our wreck spots in about 70 feet of water, not long before they pass us up on their way north. Red Snapper season opens very soon ,and the fish seem to be everywhere, the fish we're releasing have been from 8-12lbs. One of our 4hour trips this week managed several nice kingfish and tons of spanish macs. The kingfish bite has pretty much wrapped up for us this year. -Thanks for reading-Capt.
