Fishing in Carrabelle

Postby JDavis » Tue Aug 08, 2006 4:24 pm

Anybody out there have enough experience with fishing FL's west coast/panhandle to know how the Carrabelle area stacks up against the likes of Panama City, Sandestin, Clearwater, Tierra Verde, Etc.? Are there any specific things that distiguish Carrabelle from other areas when it comes to fishing? Better fishing, worse fishing? Thanks in advance!

Waters off of Dog Island offer good fishing, however the depths don't exceed 50 - 60 feet for more than 20 miles offshore. Good structure and live bottom to be had. All of the coast has good offshore fishing potential, just got to get out there and catch them.
