Alabama Offshore Report

Postby Capt Johnny Greene » Wed Sep 07, 2005 5:50 pm

We are back in business and running trips as normal after Hurricane katrina. We had good group of friends and customers on this charter. For my first trip in Gulf since the terrible Hurricane it took me a while to get things sorted out and will take a while to get back to normal. We had a decent bottom catch of Snapper and Triggers but nothing to really write home about. We did have 13 big groupers to 30 pounds. The Tunas we there and we did really well on the Black fins Jigging. The Yellow fins we caught were in the 75 pound class and both were caught on the kite with exciting blows! We did get Lucky the next morning and top off the box with 6 big jacks that were up to 75 pounds in size! Thanks Kevin for making all the arrangements and Mark for pulling it together in final moments. Thanks
