8-10-07 Night time Trout SLAM

Postby Capt Marty » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:22 pm

What a night!!! Joel Wakeland and Jason Powers joined me in my boat, and my good friend Keith Briggs, his brother in law David, and friend Stacy followed me in his boat for a great trout slam. We hit the gulf right as the sun was fading and were greeted with almost slick seas, I knew it was going to be good! 1st stop East only produced about 30 fish, but the motherload of fish were waiting for us at Capt. Bill's and my favorite HOT SPOT (seems Scuba found out too)!!!!! The water was stained at both locations, but that had no effect on these hungry fish. As soon as we arrived the trout were HOT and wanted badly to cool off in our icechest!!! Bait was plentiful and shrimp were scattering all on the surface. It did not take long to finish our 150 fish limit. NO LIVE BAIT Needed. Everything caught on plastic as usual. Excellent night as usual with great company.

Summer is almost over, call me to book now before you miss out. Beat the heat and Slam the Trout.
