Trout and Redfish Day 11-3-07

Postby Capt Marty » Mon Nov 05, 2007 11:38 pm

Day 2 with the Illinois crew; Bob Ingram, Sam Kendrick, Steve Hamilton, and John Goodman got off to a REEL early start out of the REEL INN. We were putting fish in the boat before the sun even came up, but it did not last long. After putting 20 trout in the boat at the first stop, the bite slowed down. We fished many locations today picking up a few fish at every stop. Unlike yesterday, today we did not find any big concentrations of fish. After icing down 50 trout we decided to go find some reds. It only took one stop, and we hooked up with 17 reds within a 250 yard stretch. The reds were stacked up and feeding over the oyster reefs. Out of the 17 reds, 10 made it to the box. Final total today was 50 trout,10 reds and 1 sheephead. The guys had a blast over the past 2 days catching over 300 fish, and I am sure they are already thinking about when they can schedule another trip down to the DU!!!! Great two days with you guys, I really enjoyed fishing with you. Thanks to Capt. Bill for setting everything up.

Don't get left behind, call me to schedule your next trip.
