Excellent Fishing Continues Down Dularge 11-4-07

What can I say......"Another Excellent day Down Dularge". We could not have asked for better weather than today!!! Bill Selig, Kenny Roubique, Dennis Allen, and John Simmons with Magnolia Construction joined me today to get in on the HOT ACTION Down Dularge. The guys fished out of Cocodrie yesterday catching 11 trout all day. Needless to say, they were pretty impressed that after fishing for only 45minutes they had put 50+ trout on ice. Our second stop produced another 25 keepers, putting our total up to 75. Fished multiple other spots that are known to be productive only picking up 6 other keepers.
We hit two banks for redfish and sighted over 20 reds..... only 2 made it to the box, 4 throwbacks, 5 hit the chub short and the rest spooked.
Ended the day with 81 trout and 2 reds. The guys caught approx 140 trout today (many 11 inch trout in the schools). The trout we boxed averaged 12-16 inches with several going 17 inches and the largest 20 inches. LSU CHUBS are #1!!!!!!! Don't waste your money on Live Bait, because as usual every fish today fell for the LSU Chub tightlined. Thanks again to Capt. Bill Lake for setting everything up.
