Yellow Mouth Slam-Arama 11-6-07

Capt Bill Lake, Joel Wakeland, Jason Powers, and myself teamed up Tuesday Morning for what we anticipated to be a good morning of fishing. With the front getting close to us we knew we had to get on the fish early. We made it through the patchy fog and hit out first stop around 6:30am. The lake was slick calm, no wind, tide falling, and the trout were in a feeding frenzy eating up every LSU Bayou Chub that was thrown to them. By 7:20 am we had our 100 trout on ice and left the fish at this hole biting. We headed off to another lake to do some scouting and found fish at other locations feeding fast and furious also. We played catch and release with good 15-17 inch trout then headed off to look for a few reds. The reds were not stacked up like the last few days, but we did manage to put 3 on ice and had another 3 undersize fish that we released to grow!! Back at the dock around 11:00 just around the time the front came through. Fishing down in Dularge Louisiana just can't get any better. November is a exceptional month to fish so give me a call to book your next trip.
