Hungry Reds and Trout 12-14-07

Postby Capt Marty » Fri Dec 14, 2007 8:40 pm

I had the pleasure today to fish with Mike Percle, Perry Theriot, Adam Schmidt, and Anthony Larose. We started the morning off fishing for trout and finished the day slamming the reds. Our first trout stop only produced a few trout, but at our next two stops we added over 20. Never could get on a good bite so we decided to put plan B into effect. It did not take long before everyone in the boat was hooked up reeling in the bronze backs!!!!! Our first drift produced 16 hookups, which 11 made the box. Our second drift put 4 more in the box with a couple throw backs. We also picked up a couple eating size drum and still pecked away at a few more trout. Our last stop produced 3 more reds and a couple more hookups that came off. The guys had a blast today filling the 120qt up to the top, as the lid would barely close. All fish today were caught on plastic baits as usual, water conditions today were clear at most locations with our last stop being slightly murky. Thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting things up, and to my crew.....great fishing with you guys.

P.S. Capt. Alex, that front really messed things up the last few days, but today it was all about being in the right place at the right time
