Ryan Young and I hit the Du right at daylight. 1st stop produced 0 fish. Made a move to a real popular spot that Ike loves to fish and picked up a couple. Saw plenty birds working a area and made a pass through picking up 6 keepers and throwing back about 20 popcorn trout. Made a move to a bayou I've been wanting to check out and it was the right move as some nicer trout were there and ready to eat up our swim baits. It was not "fast and furious" but steady. We would pick up 6 - 8 fish a drift. The trout averaged 14-19 inches, slow on the bottom is what they wanted. We left the trout biting to go find some reds, but only ended up catching 3. Awesome day to be on the water, and it is always a pleasure to fish with another experienced fisherman. Looking forward for a duplicate day tomorrow.

With the right weather, the trout should be busting loose any time now. Don't miss out, call now to book your trip.
