Johnny Traylor, Mike Granthum, and Walter Granthum from Alabama joined me today on the 24 Blazer Bay. We left from the "Reel Inn" at the crack of dawn and headed off for what would be a great day. Our first stop produced some very nice 14-19 inch trout. It seemed as though we were going to smoke them at one point, then they shut off. Made a few moves in the same area picking up a few more. Johnny caught 4 reds, but they were all under size by less than a inch. One nice red caught by the Capt made it to the box. When the bite shut down we made a move to the lake and chased the birds picking up another 20-25 keepers. The wind was howling as it has been the past few weeks and the water was stained in most locations. Ended the day with 55 keeper trout and 1 red. It was real fun fishing with these guys. Big thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting everything up.
