Colin, Michael, and Dennis Sweeney joined me for a red fish SLAM today. These guys are all brothers......one from New York, New Jersey and one living here in Louisiana. These guys wanted nothing to do with trout (even though I did my best to twist their arms, being that the trout bite is RED HOT right now). Red fish is all they wanted and that is what they got!!!!! Hit a few spots picking up about 8 fish (lots of grass in the ponds). I decided to go and scout a new area and we hit the jackpot. Clear ponds free of grass and red fish all over (Joe P. Would have been in heaven!!). Half the fish we caught in the pond were sight casted to and many others sight casted to did not bite. The guys ended up putting 24 reds in the boat and kept their 15 fish limit. All other fish released to fight again. Great time on board the Blazer Bay today with these guys. We did manage to hook a couple trout and a flounder also. Thanks to Capt Bill Lake for setting up things.
