Wednesday Trout/Red SLAM 11-26-08

Golden red for Rick
Nice red for Jake
On board the 24 Blazer today I had Dick, Rick, and Jake Woosley from Baton Rouge (three generations). We got a little late start today but that did not matter. We found the trout STACKED up at our first stop and we had the trout coming in every cast. The bite was slowing down and a pod of reds just happened to pass by so we followed them and hooked into three (only had one hit the Yeti). Took off to a second location to find birds diving all over the place. We picked at the trout for a while, then hit a real good school putting 20 more fish on ice quick. 70 trout was enough for the guys so we went search for some more reds. First stop found real shallow water (8 inch's) made it in but only hooked one red. Hit another spot and hooked up with another 8-10 reds. We called it a day at 1:00pm with 70 trout and 8 reds iced down. Everything caught on plastic baits tight-lined as usual. Leave the shrimp and other live stuff at the bait store, no need for that stuff "Down in Dularge". Today's trout averaged 14-16 inch's. Great time fishing with my crew, thanks guys. Big thanks to Capt. Bill Lake for setting up the trip.
