Mike Coakley Sr, Mike Coakley Jr, and Steve Pontif joined me this morning. We got off to a wet start as we hit the lake. The rain did not last long as the sun came out and the sky cleared, which made for a great day. Redfish was on our agenda this morning, but today they threw us a curve ball. Only two reds made the box today. For whatever reason they would not bite today???????? Mike Sr did get to fight 3 big drum that weighed 20-25#. Off we went in search of the spotted trout!! We found some birds diving and started to pick at a few fish...nothing to stay around for. Went check a few locations and ended up finding some decent fish in the 15-17 inch range holding off a point. Checked a few other spots only picking at them, so we called it a day. Great time today guys, it was a pleasure fishing with you. Thanks to Capt Bill Lake for putting the trip together.

Looks like the trout are starting to show up and should really turn on in the next 1-2 weeks.
