Offshore Galveston to Freeport we have been bringing in some Nice ling, and snapper to 15lbs,found mahi scattered still, The weed lines have just been blown apart from all the winds we have had the smaller chicken dolphin there but, just haven't found them real heavy yet, kingfish as always not hard to find and yet at all and shark are abundant right now. Our advise don't pay for a shark trip if you go with a descent captain you should not have any problem of them finding you hahaha just tell your offshore captain you want a shark a good captain should not mind getting you one just make sure he will let you keep it.. We have seen shark pretty thick but, this year has been amazing with CB's latest being a 200lb bull shark now that is some real teeth action. We honestly think they should raise the limit to 2 not the legal 1 shark per boat, CB has boated a few wahoo but, not near as big so far as last year.. Dan hasn't been sending in photos at all so all we have is what he is telling lynn out deep fish are everywhere when he can hit it. Mahi, ling, shark, kings and Nice amberjack and Blackfin from his boomvang trip bring in 57 of those fish..

The only difference in a offshore and deep trip is the amberjack and blackfin. WINDS GO AWAY ! Now in the bay we have a 23' flat Carolina skiff running a nice flatty boat going for reds, trout and skinny water flounder. The big cabins the whaler, seaswirl are bringing in reds, trout, jumping a few baby tarpon when we can but, we normally don't target these fish at all we go for more eating type of fish. Past few days haven't gotten any baby sharks at the jetties, been picking up sheephead pretty good size and rays.
Till next time
