Montauk Fishing Report

Saturday June 18- Captain Dave reports good fluke action both in the morning and the afternoon. Some quality fish coming over the rails! In the morning we had Shawn Priest win the first prize in the pool with a 3.55lbs fluke. A close second was John Perri with a 3.25lbs fluke. In the afternoon Tom Herrera of Montauk won the first prize pool with a 3.95 pounder, and second place went to John McIntyre of East Islip with a 3.5lbs fluke. Anthony Darrigo of East Hampton had a nice 5.5 pounder (was not in the pool).

Friday June 17- Night Striped Bass anglers had an OK night. The weather was beautiful which made for a pleasant trip. Umar Butt won the pool with a nice 34 pounder, and even Tyler got one!

Friday June 17- Fluke fish are certainly around! We have been catching fish around 8 pounds, and today was no different. Mr Veltri of Ridge, NY took the pool home with a nice 7.9lbs Fluke!

Wednesday June 15- Fluke fishing in the morning was pretty slow. Captain Bobbie reports that the conditions were not good due to the wind and the tide. The pool was won by Beth Prebish with a 3 pound fluke.

New Bedford Porgy Fishing

Thursday, Friday, Saturday- Captain Steven Forsberg reports phenomenal fishing-can't get better! In other words, the bite is on-hot heavy! The Viking Star and Viking Stariper had a turn-away crowd on Sat morning 6/18! Sailing time is 5AM daily and 5Am and 1PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations are suggested for groups on the weekends. Two boats will be available on weekends. Last trip is on June 30th- don't miss out on the excitement!

Wednesday June 15- Fishing was wonderful today reports Captain Dave. Fish were plentiful and everyone caught a lot of porgies. The pool was won by Tony Kimemer of NY, NY, with a 4lb porgy. Second prize went to Herman Lyoid with a 8lb bluefish.
